This is a clip from The Computer Chronicles aired in March 1985 about the upcoming laserdisc console/computer the RDI Halcyon.

While it boasted voice recognition, laser disc playback, artificial intelligence and speech synthesis, it was a flop. Bankrupting RDI in under a year. These systems are now stupidly rare.

I love how the host was trying to be tactful as he called bullshit on their Artificial Intelligence claim!

And when the guys selling this thing tried to imply that it would eventually be able to control things like opening and closing the doors of your house?

I owned a Vectrex for years and it's rather rare now. It was stolen from me, but the guy who stole it wrapped his head around a lightpole riding a Honda ATC he stole, stealing didn't turn out so well for him.
